Tempus refers to a health-technology company that assists physicians in delivering bespoke care to cancer patients via its interactive systematic and mechanism learning policy. It provides genomic sequencing services as well as analyzing therapeutic and molecular data that empowers physicians to make decisions that are both real-time and data-driven. Tempus’ goal is and has always been ensuring that every patient benefits from the treatment used on others before. Lefkofsky’s Role at Tempus

Lefkofsky is Tempus’ co-founder and CEO. The company has come up with an operating system to fight cancer by taking a smart approach via the use of technology and collection of data. Tempus aims at using this data in helping doctors come up with a better plan for the care and treatment of patients suffering from breast, pancreatic and lung cancer for now as others will be added with time. Lefkofsky is the current CEO of Tempus as well as its co-founder.

Lefkofsky’s Education Background and Philanthropic Endeavors

Lefkofsky went to the University of Michigan where he graduated in 1991 and proceeded for his Juris Doctor at the University of Michigan Law School, where he cleared in 1993. Eric Lefkofsky is deeply involved in a number of philanthropic activities. In 2006, Lefkofsky together with his wife Liz Lefkofsky, founded the Lefkofsky Foundation, a charitable trust. The formed the trust to support educational, scientific and charitable causes and organizations across the globe. The foundation mainly focuses on children and it has managed to fund well over 50 organizations until now. In 2013, the couple linked up with The Giving Pledge. In as far as community interests are concerned; Lefkofsky serves in the board of directors at The Art Institute of Chicago, Children’s Memorial Hospital, Chicago and the Museum of Science and Industry.
